Reporting an infringement
If something hosted here infringes a copyright you hold, write to our designated agent at supex@weggle.xyz and include all of the following. A notice missing any of it cannot be acted on.
- A physical or electronic signature from the copyright owner, or someone authorised to act for them
- Identification of the work you say has been infringed
- Identification of the infringing material, with enough detail for us to find it. A direct URL is ideal
- Your address, telephone number and email
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, their agent, or the law
- A statement that the information is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the owner
Complete notices are usually actioned within one working day.
Counter-notification
If your material was taken down and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter-notification containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of what was removed, and where it was before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the removal was a mistake or a misidentification
- Your name, address, telephone number and email
- Consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the district where you live, and acceptance of service from the original complainant
Repeat infringers
Accounts that repeatedly infringe get terminated. We can also restrict or close an account over a single infringement where the circumstances warrant it, without waiting for a pattern to establish itself.
Worth saying plainly: uploading something you do not own or have rights to is infringement, whether it lands in file hosting or comes out of the meme generator. Templates are the property of whoever made them.
