Data Deletion

Your account is yours to close. This page explains exactly what goes when you ask for deletion, what has to stay, and how long it takes.

• The account itself: username, email, password hash, profile
• Every file you uploaded, removed from the CDN as well as the database
• Memes you created
• Wall posts, comments, likes and follows
• Session records and activity history
• Stored payment identifiers, aside from what financial law requires us to keep

Three routes, all of which end in the same place:

• The delete option in your account settings
• The form at the bottom of this page
• An email to support@weggle.xyz

Then we verify it is really you, process it within 30 days, and confirm by email when it is done.

• Financial records the law requires us to hold, typically for seven years
• Anything tied up in an open legal claim or dispute
• Aggregate usage numbers that no longer point back to you

None of that identifies you on the site any more, and none of it can be used to restore the account.

• Anything public that someone else already copied or reposted
• Search engine caches of pages that were public. Those expire on their own schedule
• Data held by services we use, under their own retention rules

This policy gets updated from time to time. The date at the top moves when it does.
